We were honored to present two Quilts of Valor quilts to area veterans at the show. See information about the recipients on the Quilts of Valor tab.
Our guild members made three special raffle quilts that can be seen below. One quilt honored policemen, one fire fighters, and one EMS workers. Raffle proceeds ($700 plus another $2000 from the Red River Valley Quilt Guild) were donated to The Lamar County 100 Club. Their website states:
"Support is provided to Law enforcement, Fire, EMS and Corrections in Lamar County to dependent families of a public servant “killed in the line of duty.” The fallen officer will collect benefits from the entity they work for, however we provide a first check of $10,000 immediately to the family as soon as possible."
Thanks to everyone who purchased raffle tickets for this wonderful, local cause. The winners of these 3 special quilts are:
Fire quilt: Lisa Moore Kee
EMS Quilt: Lisa Bureau
Police Quilt: Tammie Brock

Quilt shows don't happen without quilts. We thank the quilters who loaned us their 200 or so quilts. We can't wait to see 200 more next year!
Quilt shows would be really, really sad without people to come and enjoy the fruits of all the hard work. Luckily we had over 1000 people willing to brave the very wet weather.
Quilt shows might happen without vendors, but they wouldn't be as much fun! We hope to see you all back next year.
Quilt shows don't happen without community support. Thank you, thank you! Check out our sponsor list from the link above. Don't forget to tell them thanks.
Quilt shows especially don't happen without a plethora of volunteers. Whether you are a guild member or someone from the community, we thank you...and thank you...and thank you.
Do you have a question about our show? Send us a message with your question, name and preferred contact method. We'll get back to you soon!
